Happy New Year! I hope that you are all having a wonderful, relaxing winter break. This past year has been filled with a lot of stress, change, and uncertainty for so many of our families. Through it all Rivendell has remained open, strong, and dedicated to our mission of helping children achieve academic and personal excellence through individualized education.
I wanted to take this opportunity and thank you for trusting us with your child’s education and for being part of our school. Your children make our school the special place that it is. I feel so lucky that the majority of our children have been able to attend Rivendell in-person for the entire first semester. I know that this is in large part due to the sacrifices many of our families are making outside of school and the dedication that our staff has shown in following all the county’s protocols for keeping everyone as safe as possible while remaining in person. We all value the importance of our students receiving in-person instruction from our amazing teachers each day. I can’t thank everyone enough or express the gratitude I feel to lead such a dedicated staff; they continually place the interests of our students first and walk through the door every day with enthusiasm, compassion, and commitment to doing their best during these difficult times.
I am looking forward to a brighter year in 2021, one where we can celebrate the successes of our students together, in person, as a community. On behalf of the Rivendell staff, cheers to a new year filled with hope, kindness, adventures, and laughter.
