It is so fun to be a Younger Kids teacher at Rivendell! The 2016-17 school year was my first year in my own classroom. Being a part of Rivendell is a dream come true. I strongly believe in education that is individualized and whole-child focused; I enjoy getting to know my students for who they are and building positive relationships with them.

I am a Fort Collins native! I graduated from Colorado State University in 2015 with my Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development and Family Studies with Early Childhood Education teacher licensure. My passion for teaching reading led me to pursue a Master’s Degree in Literacy through University of Northern Colorado in 2017. I am part of the local non-profit organization, Fort Collins Read Aloud. I started as a volunteer and wrote a grant for a family literacy program. After it was funded, I became a board member and program director. I love serving as a resource for families in my community.
