Rachael taught Younger Kids at Rivendell from 2016-2019. Although she misses being in the classroom, she has always had a passion to pursue literacy as a tutor and dyslexia specialist. She is excited to be back in a new role! She supports our individualized education philosophy by serving as a literacy coach, providing professional development, and enhancing curriculum.
Rachael has a background in Human Development and Family Studies as well as Early Childhood Education with her Bachelor's Degree from Colorado State University. She holds a Master's Degree in Literacy with a Reading Specialist endorsement from University of Northern Colorado.
She is also a private Barton tutor for students diagnosed with (or suspected to have) dyslexia and provides resouces to families at Reading with Rachael.
In her free time, Rachael enjoys spending time with her husband, Gabe and their two dogs Rocky and Rosie. She has several hobbies including cooking, reading, and yoga.
