Wendy Tucker is an Early Childhood teacher at Rivendell School. In her role, she is responsible for the academic and social-emotional growth of each preschool student.
Wendy believes that all students can reach their full potential and that it is the teacher’s job to incorporate instructional methods that consider all backgrounds and learning abilities of students. She also believes learning is a physiological activity involving the whole body. Wendy works to create a warm, caring and supportive environment where her students feel that she truly cares about them and their success.
A University of Northern Colorado graduate, Wendy holds a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She taught for five years at the 3rd-grade level and then went on to obtain her Master of Education in special education, also from the University of Northern Colorado.
Away from school, Wendy enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters. She is an avid reader, loves to garden, enjoys camping, traveling, yoga, reggae music, and rock climbing. She has two dogs, Savvy and Karma, a cat named Hope, and five chickens.
