Welcome back! We hope everyone is feeling refreshed and energized after Spring Break. The kids are excited to be here, sharing stories of their adventures with their friends. Speaking of sharing, students are invited to bring something for sharing this Friday that represents what they did over break.
We are ready to buckle down and get back to work for the last two months of school (what!?) This week brings a new topic unit, plants! Each student will be planting their own seeds and watching the plants sprout and grow. They will be keeping a plant journal to record their observations over the next few weeks.
Tomorrow, we will have a special visit at 9:30 from local author Brielle Kelly, who will be sharing her story The Skunk Who Was Afraid to Stink. We are looking forward to this unique opportunity!
Please note that the date for the egg drop and crazy hair day has been changed. It was originally planned for this Friday, the 29th. We are now hoping to hold the egg drop on April 26, pending availability from the fire department. Stay tuned for further updates.
If you are a Rivendell volunteer of any kind, we would love for you to attend the volunteer breakfast this Friday the 29th from 8:00-9:00. We appreciate all you do!
That’s all for now. Enjoy this beautiful day!
