Younger Kids News

Dear Parents,

We hope you had a nice weekend and were able to take advantage of the sunny weather.  We are looking forward to meeting with you all over the next two Fridays for our conferences.  We have lots to share with you, but more importantly please let us know if there is anything in particular that you would like for us to focus on in our conference.  If you still need to sign up for a slot you can access our sign up sheet iNSERT YOUR LINK.

Over the next two short weeks we will be learning about Geology!  We’ve got some fun activities planned for your kids.  After these couple of weeks we will be wrapping up our unit and moving on to a new topic of study.

As we navigate the last full week of January we have begun to look ahead to the fun activities that await in February.  We have two different parties during the month about which we wish to make you aware.  Our first celebration will be on our 100th day of school.  This falls on Tuesday, February 8.  We will have some great activities planned that should make this a super fun day at school for our students while reinforcing their learning of several math concepts.

The special days don’t stop there as we will celebrate Valentine’s day the following week on Monday.  Our students are welcome to bring in valentines to pass out to their friends.  We ask that if you choose to make valentines with your child that you please make sure they make one for every student in the class.  A class roster will be sent out to you closer to the date of the event.  We also need your help to make some mailboxes to hold the valentines that are brought in.  If you could please bring in a cereal box or something similar that we can get prepared and that your child can decorate it would be appreciated.  You may begin bringing these in now and we will be decorating them soon.  Thanks for your help with this!
