The fun and learning doesn't stop when school lets out! Various after-school (and before-school) activities and classes are offered throughout the year. From robots to yoga to music to chess, there is a class for you.
Students attending after school activities at Rivendell, should first go out to aftercare. Instructors will come to aftercare to check-out students for their activities. For activities beginning right after school at 3:30, you will not be charged an aftercare fee. Please remind your child to go to aftercare first if they have an after school activity.
Please note: All communication regarding after school activities (such as schedules, fees, etc.) is directly through the after-school activity provider (via email/phone listed below), not through Rivendell. Medical information should also be communicated to the activity provider, see below.

League of Wayfinders

Dungeons and Dragons style gaming for kids! League of Wayfinders is an after-school enrichment program that takes kids on a Hero’s Journey of self-discovery. We incorporate education, empathy building, and critical thinking into a rich pen-and-paper role playing game experience. With a custom-built game built in classrooms over 13 years, we teach kids to craft interesting characters, roleplay their hero as part of a team, and create their own adventures to run with their friends. Kids learn to make sure they are being fun, fair, and understandable while rolling dice. Cheer and Dance Connection

Are you ready for a NEW Cheerleading/Dance program at Rivednell School? Come join the TCDC Rivendell Cheer/Dance Team. Kids will flip over this high-energy Recreational Cheer/Dance Spirit Team. If your child is looking for a fun way to learn dances, tumbling, jumps, and stunting through sportsmanship and teamwork, this team is for you. LEGO® Robotics with Play-Well

Middle Kids and Older Kids
Rise to the challenge to build and program robots using the LEGO® Spike Prime system! Learn about mechanical and software design, loops, conditional statements, problem solving, and teamwork skills. Design and construct your robot to avoid obstacles, pick up and carry objects, and play sounds. Projects are structured so that students work in an open-ended, investigative environment while having fun. Taught by instructors from Play-Well TEKnologies.
Chess Wizards
Thursdays 3:30-4:30pm, Sep 4-Oct 9

Younger, Middle and Older Kids
Each class includes 30 minutes of instruction and 30 minutes of playtime taught by an experienced chess coach. Ages 5-12. To register, go to chesswizards.com.
Musical Theater
Fridays 3:30-5:00pm (plus Tue/Wed performance dates) in the Music Room, Sept 5-Nov 21

Sing, dance, act, and bring Dr. Seuss’s colorful world to life in our after-school musical theatre camp. Whether it’s your first time or you’re ready for a new role, this is your chance to shine! Students will learn new skills, make friends, and explore the world of musical theater—culminating in two exciting performances and a cast party on November 21. Important Dates: No camp October 17 & 24; Performance for Aftercare & Rivendell students: Tuesday, November 18, 4–5 pm; Family & friends performance: Wednesday, November 19, 6 pm (performers arrive at 5 pm). $180 for the first installment upon registration, and you will be charged $180 for the remainder on 10/13.
