Do you have a yearning for learning more about bugs? Well, come join us as we explore the natural world. Through the magnifying glass, we will take a closer look at these creepy crawlies and discover their importance in our ecosystem. Explore their habitats, life cycle and more. We will even create a bug hotel to attract them to a resort of plants and resources. Through our search for the 4-legged, 6-legged, or even one hundred-legged, we will venture from the school grounds to various parks around town. Holiday Camp

Do you like celebrating holidays? In this festive camp, we will celebrate Halloween, Christmas, Hanukkah, New Year’s Eve, Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, 4th of July, and even birthdays - all in one week! We’ll dress up in Halloween costumes, make holiday crafts, play games, listen to holiday music, and make gifts. We will learn about holidays celebrated in other parts of the world and where we live. Mad Scientist Camp

Your camper will embark on a science adventure. Kids become junior scientists for the week. There will be a variety of scientific activities with new topics each day. There will be a combination of games, science discovery, and physical activity. Kids might find themselves creating slime, doing food experiments, exploring force and so much more. Register here.

Reader’s Theater

June 19-23

Join us for reader’s theater, where students practice and perform using their scripts to reenact a story.  Students inevitably end up practicing reading with fluency and expression while learning about the story elements:  characters, setting, plot, theme, and problem & solution.  This camp emphasizes the ARTS in Language Arts! Art, Skits, and Good Citizenship with Picture Books

June 26-30

This camp will feature a few of the acclaimed books by gifted storyteller Eve Bunting. Bunting is known for writing picture books that embed lessons benefitting children through adults. We will discuss the tenets of good character and apply our understanding through act-it-outs (short skits) and crafts.   Themes will include honesty, acceptance of others, and being an upstander! World Travelers

July 3-7

Grab your passport! Each day we will “visit” a country and explore it geographically, culinarily,
customs, exports, fun facts, unique traditional garments, and artistic contributions. On the

Games Around the World

Bugging Around

July 17-21

If creepy crawlers fascinate your child, then this summer’s Bugging Around is an ideal summer activity. Campers will learn about insect natural history and biodiversity through a series of fun projects and activities.  We will have visits from a local bee-keeper and Entomologist from the CSU Bug Camp. Campers will build their own bug, and we finish the week with a visit to the butterfly pavilion at the Botanical Gardens. Register here.

Dance Factory

July 24-28

Music is good for the soul, and when songs are accompanied by dance moves that EVERYONE can learn, you’re on your way to a lot of laughter and fun. You will dress the part to dance the week away by sashaying your hips to the Cha Cha Slide, body swing to the 80’s with the Locomotion, and shake it out with the ever-favorite YMCA. There’s nothing easier than the Stanky Leg - it’s one of those really cool moves! And don’t forget back to the 60’s with the great Chubby Checker Twist, while we bring back country and mullets with the boot-scootin’ classic Achy Breaky Heart. Get your funk on and join us.
