As the school year kicks off, we are beyond excited for the many fall events we’ll get to enjoy with the Rivendell community. Be sure to mark these on your calendars and get prepared for some major fun!
Food Truck Rally
Every school year, during the first week of September, we welcome families to the annual Food Truck Rally at Rivendell School. Students race onto the playground to find their favorite food trucks parked along the track. Parents spend time together sitting at the picnic tables or bringing blankets to sit comfortably in the field. The most popular food truck of all is Kona Ice. You don’t want to miss out on colorful frozen ice while enjoying the beautiful fall weather!
Fun Run
Throughout all of September, students are working hard and practicing running laps to help raise money for our wonderful school! They proudly build up their stamina and estimate how many laps they believe they can run in a certain amount of time. They collect “sponsors” to make donations per lap that they run. On the day of Fun Run, the whole community comes together to cheer students on. They race their hearts out and give encouraging high fives to friends. To celebrate their success, all the classes eat delicious snacks and popsicles on the playground after the event!
Fun Fest
We can’t forget about the legendary Fun Fest. Our wonderful school volunteers and alumni come together to run one of the most exciting events of the year. The whole school is transformed into a Halloween-themed festival which includes games, art projects, cake walk, a dance party, and more! Everyone in the community is welcome to wear costumes and be a part of the fun!
