Rivendell School is gearing up for its 31st Annual Spring Event Fundraiser at Block One in Old Town from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. This year, the theme is “From Seeds Grow Mighty Trees”, going hand-in-hand with our mission of providing the environment every acorn needs to grow into a mighty oak. Rivendell School is committed to creating the space for children to develop strong roots in the world – quenching their thirst to learn at their own pace, providing the sunshine of joy, setting boundaries to help them grow upward, room to test their roots and branches with experienced staff, encouragement from alumni who have gone before them and emotional intelligence to flex within storms, to endure and provide the compassionate leadership our world needs.
More than a fundraiser, the Spring Event will be a gathering of the Rivendell community - parents, staff, teachers, alumni, donors, and friends - in recognition of the work we do together for the children we serve. Rivendell School has always had a philosophy of addressing each individual child’s needs. As a result, student learning is driven by students’ skills and abilities, not standardized testing. We focus on creative learning with an emphasis on the whole child while offering small multi-age classrooms. These key components of the Rivendell philosophy work together to support each student’s physical, social, emotional, creative, artistic, and academic well-being.
